01What to write to us about
The address above reaches the person who edits the site. These are the messages it is best for:
- Corrections. Please paste the full page address and quote the sentence you think is wrong. If you know where the right information comes from, include it. Corrections are the messages that get read first.
- Questions about an article. If something in a guide or a slot article is unclear, ask. A good question sometimes turns into a clearer paragraph on the page.
- Material for the OutGames history pages. Some details of past Games are still missing. Programmes, results sheets, newspaper cuttings or your own memories of a Games all help. Tell us whether you are happy to be credited by name.
- Story ideas for the casino section, especially on gambling history.
02What we cannot help with
outgames.org is a publication. It is not a casino, a payment service or a regulator, and it has no access to anyone’s account anywhere.
- Casino accounts and payments. Questions about a deposit, a withdrawal, a bonus, identity checks or a closed account can only be answered by the operator that holds your account. Contact their customer support and keep a copy of what you send.
- Complaints against an operator. Start with the operator’s own complaints procedure. In Great Britain, if the complaint is still unresolved after that, licensed operators must give you access to an independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service, and the operator has to tell you which one it uses. The Gambling Commission licenses and regulates gambling businesses and publishes guidance on how to complain, although it does not settle individual disputes itself.
- World OutGames registrations, refunds or bookings. The World OutGames organisation was dissolved after 2017, and this site holds no participant records. For anything about a past event, the organisers or the host city are the only people who can help.
If gambling is causing you problems, please do not wait for an email reply. The responsible gambling page lists free UK services, and the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is open 24 hours a day.
03How messages are handled
Replies are not instant. Corrections and material for the history pages come first; general questions may take longer, and messages that are clearly marketing or link requests are not answered.
When a correction is accepted, the page is changed and its updated date moves forward. If we decide a page is right as it stands, we will say why when we reply. Material for the history pages is only used once we have your permission, and only in the way you agreed to.
04Problems with the site itself
Tell us about a link that goes nowhere, an image that will not load or a page that looks broken on your phone. It helps to know the page address, the device and browser you were using, and roughly what you expected to see. A screenshot is welcome.
If you followed a link from another website and landed on the “page not found” screen, send us the address you started from and we will point it to the right page.
05Your email and your privacy
Writing to us means we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message. That is used to read and answer it, and for nothing else: no mailing list, no newsletter, no sharing with advertisers or casino operators. Please leave out account numbers, card details or passwords, since we have no use for them.
The privacy policy explains how long correspondence is kept and how to ask for it to be deleted.
